Grosvenor School is south Nottingham’s leading independent day school for boys and girls aged 4 - 13.
We pride ourselves on being a traditional school based on family values. At Grosvenor, we have a strong sense of community and work hard to provide what the children need and to develop each child’s unique talents.
We want to give your child every chance to succeed. At Grosvenor, he or she will gain self-esteem through their achievements and leave our school with the confidence and skills they will need throughout life.
We will equip them not just with an educated mind, but with the ability to lead by example, so that they will understand their responsibility to the community, and the importance of showing consideration, courtesy and respect to others.
With our care and support, your child can become a high achiever of the future whilst learning the balance between competition and compassion.
At Grosvenor, we believe that sporting activities are an essential element in a balanced curriculum.
We therefore offer a wide range of individual and team sports such as rugby, tennis, golf, badminton and orienteering, as well as football, swimming, hockey, netball, rounders, cricket and athletics.
With skilled coaching, we can allow every child to find their own niche and enjoy sport for sport’s sake. Thanks to the size of our school, every child can take part in our sports activities.

Music is very important at Grosvenor School. We believe that learning to love and play music is one of the greatest gifts a child can be given.
We allow children to explore music from their very first year and encourage pupils to join our choirs.
We also offer lessons in most musical instruments and pupils playing instruments have the chance to join the School Orchestra. Indeed, over 75% of our pupils have private music lessons at school
As a relatively small independent school, our staff and teachers can get to know every child and their unique skills and requirements. It also means that we can have a stronger, mutually supportive relationship with our parents too.
Our favourable teacher/pupil ratios allow our staff to hear each child reading aloud every day. There are more opportunities for every Grosvenor pupil to take part in sporting and leisure activities, the school plays and our music festivals
